Adam Hegsted's Baba took over the old Wandering Table space in Kendall Yards and turned it into one of Spokane's most talked-about Mediterranean kitchens — American comfort food filtered through Mediterranean and Middle Eastern technique, best experienced during the 3–5pm happy hour that's become a neighborhood ritual. The Turkish mac and cheese, built on a labneh-based sauce, is the dish people mention first, but the whipped feta with honey, crispy potato latkes, and lamb kofta with pomegranate glaze are just as worth ordering. Everything's built for sharing, which suits the sleek, lively room perfectly.
It's a versatile spot — casual enough for a weeknight, special enough for out-of-town guests, and reliably good across visits. A few diners have found the deviled eggs richer than expected, and it's worth double-checking your receipt against the menu, but neither takes away from what's become one of Kendall Yards' most reliably delicious tables.
