Foodie Review
Bruncheonette
West Central · Scratch-Made Brunch, Est. 2016
We haven't made it in for a visit yet, so this one's built from what fellow diners and locals are saying — we'll update it with our own take once we've pulled up a chair.
Bruncheonette has been a West Central brunch destination since 2016, built by the Couple of Chefs catering team around genuinely scratch-made food — they smoke their own brisket, hand-cut their potatoes, and make their own gravies and sauces in-house. The smoked brisket hash and bacon sticky bun (which regularly sells out) are the two dishes everyone orders, alongside Verde hash, shrimp and grits, and chilaquiles in a trendy, chalkboard-and-succulents space.
Noise level and an automatic 16% service charge are the most common critiques, along with the occasional "good, not great" visit. It's walk-in only and can get genuinely busy, so plan for a wait — but it remains a near-unanimous local favorite for weekend brunch.
