Craft & Gather turned a converted clubhouse at the old Painted Hills golf course into a genuine neighborhood favorite — part sports bar, part chef-driven dining room, with a dog-friendly patio, lawn games, and even a driving range and pickleball court in the summer months. The ribeye with red wine mushroom demi-glaze and the wild mushroom risotto are the dishes people order again and again, alongside a bacon cheeseburger that holds its own.

It's versatile — casual enough for a weeknight, special enough for a date — and the founders' story (built from scratch by two industry veterans) gives it a genuine local-favorite feel. A few reviews mention a burger that landed as fine rather than spectacular for the price, and the occasional noisy night when the bar area fills up, but it's earned its reputation as a Spokane Valley go-to.
