If you haven't been to Dick's, it's worth the stop. Great shakes — and a little-known fact, one of the best corn dogs in town.
Dick's is a genuine mid-century drive-in on East 3rd, and it has stayed one while nearly everything around it changed. You order at the window, the prices are the kind people mention out loud, and the food comes out fast enough that the line is never the problem it looks like.
Set your expectations correctly and it delivers every time: this is a burger stand, not a restaurant. There's no table service and not much shelter if the weather turns. Come for a cheap, fast, genuinely good burger and a shake, and you'll understand why it's lasted.
