Foodie Review
Française Spokane
South Perry · Modern French Bistro
We haven't made it in for a visit yet, so this one's built from what fellow diners and locals are saying — we'll update it with our own take once we've pulled up a chair.
Française stepped into the beloved former Caspar Fry space in South Perry and has built its own strong reputation since, particularly for brunch and its escargot — cozy yet sophisticated, with exposed brick, greenery, and candlelight that work equally well for a relaxed morning or a romantic dinner. The croque madame, coq au vin, and steak frites round out a menu that leans into genuine French bistro classics without feeling stuffy.
A vocal minority describe a rough visit — slow, disjointed service and inconsistent execution (gritty oysters, soggy fries, a stale baguette) all in one sitting — but this reads as an off night rather than the norm, since most feedback, especially for brunch, is very positive.
