Jewel of the North opened in 2025 inside a beautifully restored 1901 Victorian house in Browne's Addition, and it's already built a real local following — the catfish sliders became a best-seller within a week of opening, and the JOTN chicken sandwich (maple bourbon brine, habanero mayo) and banana pudding, made from co-owner Brooks Thomas's mom's recipe, have followed close behind. The dog-friendly patio and porch are widely praised as some of the best in the neighborhood, with a portion of dog-menu proceeds going to the Spokane Humane Society.
As a newer spot, there isn't yet a long review history to draw a clear pattern of complaints from — what's out there so far is close to uniformly positive. A genuinely welcoming addition to Browne's Addition, built by two industry veterans with real care for the neighborhood.
