We haven't made it in for a visit yet, so this one's built from what fellow diners and locals are saying — we'll update it with our own take once we've pulled up a chair.

Ruins has built a genuine cult following under chef-owner Tony Brown, whose ever-changing menu earned a national spotlight on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives for the Dirty Fries — shoestring potatoes, house aioli, salsa verde, and roasted pork shoulder. The Parisian gnocchi, pappardelle with meatballs, and a burger some call the best in Spokane round out a cozy, contemporary space that's earned its spot among the Inlander's best restaurants year after year.

Service is the most recurring critique here — a few reviews describe slow or under-informed servers, especially on busy nights — and portion size hasn't always matched the price for everyone. The food itself, though, is almost universally praised, and it's a genuinely special pick for a favorite regular dinner or a memorable first date.
