The Centennial Restaurant & Bar

The Centennial Restaurant & Bar is the dining room of The Centennial hotel on North River Drive — the old Red Lion at the Park, which Walt Worthy's company bought and renamed in July 2018 and which has been part of the Davenport family ever since. It sits on the north bank of the Spokane River, the closest hotel to the Arena, with a seasonal patio looking out over the river and the Centennial Trail. The menu is casual Northwest and priced like it: chicken and waffles at breakfast, a Centennial cheeseburger and a smokehouse bacon burger with smoked gouda, sesame-crusted ahi, a grilled New York strip, and a pizza list that includes the Spo-Kahuna.

It's the most affordable of the Davenport dining rooms, with the dinner menu topping out around thirty dollars, reservations aren't required, and happy hour runs daily from 2 to 5 — a sensible stop before an Arena show. The patio is the draw on a warm evening, but it's weather permitting, so check before you count on it. It isn't trying to be a destination, and for a burger and a view of the river, it doesn't need to be.
