We haven't made it in for a visit yet, so this one's built from what fellow diners and locals are saying — we'll update it with our own take once we've pulled up a chair.
The Flying Goat has been an Audubon neighborhood favorite for over a decade, and its Neapolitan-style pizzas are frequently called the best in Spokane — the D-Street (Thai curry pizza), Gordon, and Kiernan (sausage, egg, arugula, truffle oil) lead a genuinely inventive menu, all served in a small, industrial-cool space with a patio firepit. The kitchen is also fully nut-free, a meaningful detail for families managing allergies.
Slow or inconsistent service during busy periods and genuinely limited seating (especially in winter, without patio access) are the most common complaints. The food itself is close to universally praised, though, and it's easy to see why this is often called the highest-rated pizza place in the city.
