Since 1981 it's been the sports bar to go to. From breakfast to dinner they do a great job. I love a good chicken fried steak, and theirs is awesome.
The Swinging Doors has been on West Francis since 1981, and it does something most sports bars don't bother with — it takes the food seriously across the whole day, breakfast included. Screens everywhere, a menu that runs from eggs to steak, and a kitchen that has clearly been doing this a long while.
It's a sports bar, so it lives and dies by the schedule. On a Seahawks Sunday or a big fight night the room is loud and full and you'll wait. Go on an ordinary weekday and it's one of the more comfortable all-day rooms in north Spokane.
