Vaqueros Mexican Restaurant & Taqueria

A beautiful interior and a fun service staff. The menu is remarkably similar to Rancho Viejo's — enough that I'd bet there's some shared DNA between the two.

Vaqueros is a taqueria-leaning Mexican spot on Indiana in the Valley, with a bright, comfortable room and a menu built on the standards: carne asada street tacos, enchiladas, and taquitos rancheros dressed with queso fresco, sour cream, and guacamole.

Reviews run mixed — some flag smaller portions for the price and uneven seasoning — so it's not flawless. But the service is friendly, the space is genuinely nice, and if you like Rancho Viejo, you'll be on familiar ground here.
