Wisconsinburger

I won't lie to ya — it's an odd location in my mind, but worth the trip. I'm a fan of their house sausages, and I always crave the South Beloit Burger.

Wisconsinburger sits on South Hatch, tucked into a residential pocket east of downtown where you wouldn't think to look for a burger. The Wisconsin theme isn't a gimmick — they make their own sausage, and it's the thing to order alongside the burgers if you want to understand what the kitchen is actually good at.

The location really is the catch, and it's small besides, so a busy evening means waiting somewhere without much room to wait in. It's worth the drive and the detour, but go knowing you're making a trip rather than passing by.
